|Description:||Description: There are two opening positions from BCB Clinical Diagnostics within Translational Medicine and Early Development (TMED) in Framingham, MA, USA with detail description below.
Clinical Diagnostics is a CLIA accredited high-complexity laboratory within Sanofi R&D TMED that supports late stage clinical development and marketed drugs. The group develops clinical assays and monitors patient treatment efficacy and immune responses to investigational/commercial therapeutic products in a compliant clinical laboratory environment.
The position is within Clinical Diagnostics-Clinical PhysioChem group and will be responsible for developing new clinical mass spectrometry assays for Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD). Key responsibilities include 1) Develop quantitative mass spectrometry-based assays for lipid biomarkers in various biological matrices 2) Optimize LSD enzyme activity assays 3) Identify novel biomarkers and participate clinical assay development and validation. The candidate should possesses strong analytical skills, self-motivation and the ability to work well both independently as well as in a team environment.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related field, along with bioanalytical experience in a pharmaceutical or academic environment. Qualified candidates should have good communication and writing skills.
Extensive experience in utilizing triple quadrupole or higher mass resolution mass spectrometer for quantitative assays of biomolecules is desired. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or knowledge of high throughput automation is preferable.
The position is within Clinical Diagnostics -Clinical Immunology group and will work in Investigational Immunology area. A successful candidate for this position would involve in immunogenicity prediction and investigate immune tolerance mechanism to answer clinical research questions. Key responsibilities include 1) Perform clinical immunology related assays such as immune-phenotyping, cellular and antibody measurement 2) Establish the immune response prediction algorithm and collaborate with internal/external experts.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology or health science related field, along with scientific experience in a pharmaceutical or academic environment. Qualified candidates should have good communication and writing skills.
Extensive knowledge in clinical immunology and data management is desired. Previous working experience in a clinical laboratory is preferable.
