The Pfizer Inflammation &Immunology (I&I) department aims to develop novel therapeutics to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases including to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and inflammatory bowel disease . A successful candidate for this position would investigate critical immune pathways contributing to these diseases, including pathways mediating innate activation, cytokine signaling as well as mechanisms involving APC/T cell interaction. This person will work within a team environment and contribute to the in-depth understanding of relevant biology, the in vitro validation of select genes. He/She will also develop assays to assess the function of the pathway of interest using tool pharmacological agents, recombinant proteins or RNAi/CRISPR knockdown technology. The signaling mechanism will also be investigated by various methods. The expression and the function of select gene will be evaluated in human diseased tissues. This person will have opportunities to collaborate with both internal and external groups. Experience and track record of publication in Immunology is a strong plus.

PhD. in Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or other related Biology area.
Experience in designing and performing immunology studies such as isolation of immune cells and familiarity with FACS technology and animal study is preferred. A proven publication record is desirable.
